Join us for an 11-week survey of the Old Testament, focusing on the Historical Books along with the Books of Wisdom and Poetry. Participants will receive a brief overview of each book and explore its purpose within the Old Testament.
Schedule: Mondays, 10:00 a.m.–Noon, beginning September 14, 2026, for 11 weeks
Location: Antioch Baptist Church, 1700 Midway Rd SE, Bolivia, NC 28422
This class will be a survey of the Old Testament Texts consisting of the Historical Books (the Pentateuch & remaining 12 historical books) and the Books of Wisdom and Poetry. The class will provide a brief summary of each book as well as its purpose within the Old Testament. Authorship of each book as well as major themes and important passages will be discussed. Old Testament Introduction II will be offered from January – May 2027 and will cover the Prophets.
The class will be held for 11 weeks on Monday mornings from 10:00 – 12:00 noon at Antioch Baptist Church located at 1700 Midway Rd SE, Bolivia, NC 28422. It will begin on 9/14/26 and continue through 12/07/26 with breaks 10/12/26 & 11/23/26 to coincide with the Brunswick County School Schedule.
Recommended but not required textbook: Hill, Andrew E. and John H. Walton. A Survey of the Old Testament. Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 2024.
